{ LANDON - REPORT CARD - WEEK 52 - DECEMBER 27-31}

MATH

Still going strong on our additions and subtractions.
Today introduced Borrowing concept which didn't go too smooth at the beginning. But like anything NEW it will click with him with practice.By the evening (our second try he got some answers down right :)

1st grade Additions - Finished Lessons 30 31 32 33 and 34

1st grade Subtractions - Finished Lessons 32 33 34 35 36 (out of 43 lessons total)

READING

This week he finished Level F and started Level G
Brand new books of Level G

SPELLING
Finished Lesson 1-6 in Level 1 of ALL ABOUT SPELLING
- He knows all the sounds of all the letters (if the letter has more than 1 sound even)
- He is learning rules little by little. He knows what Vowels and Consonants are, that each word has at least 1 vowel.

INTRODUCING BORROWING IN MATH

How many people does it take to teach 1st grade to borrow?
I didnt know it would be that hard! But i understand its only day #1 and everything will come with practice.'\
BUT MEANWHILE.... i am pulling my hair out!
