How many people does it take to teach 1st grade to borrow?
I didnt know it would be that hard! But i understand its only day #1 and everything will come with practice.'\
BUT MEANWHILE.... i am pulling my hair out!
We use the Montessori method, where basically you use manipulatives. If you have a base ten set, then I'd set up some problems usings a tens bar and the unit cubes. Sometimes being able to see the "exchange" really helps. Hope you don't mind me posting, saw your blog on the well trained mind site.
