LANDON - {REPORT CARD} - WEEK 1 - JANUARY 3-7 2011

MATH 

I did some changes in his Math routine by adding Singapore Math 1A.
As of today Landon has finished following:
Singapore A1: Unit1 - More and Fewer, Unit 2 - Number Bonds. He also did REVIEW work.
Kumon Addition 1st grade-  Lesson 36 (Column 3)
Kumon Subtraction 1st grade - Lesson 38 (Column 3).
His subtractions with borrowing has been introduced last week and mastered this week.

Also introduced him to Calendar idea.

SPELLING

He finished Lessons 7-11 in Level 1 of All About Spelling.
All  short vowels. S, X, QU. 
So far everything is very easy for him when it comes to spelling.
This week we have been working on spacing words when he writes sentences.

WRITING SKILLS - He started this week and its new material to him.
This week he learned about Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives. Now he can identify them in a sentence.
He is doing Unit 1: "WORDS, WORDS, WORDS".
He completed pages 6-15.

READING:

READING A-Z -Level G -  He read 4 books this week.
This week he has been tested for reading speed - 66  to 113 words per min. Depends on a mood lol

P.E

Gymnastics. He started it again after missing a month of December.
His cartwheels are amazing as always. His roundoffs are getting better.
