LANDON - {REPORT CARD} - WEEK 4- JANUARY 24-28 2011

What a wonderful week it has been for Landon's math. This week he completed THREE Math books and ONE Spelling book! Wow!      

 MATH 

Singapore Primary Math  1A:  COMPLETED!

Singapore Primary Math  1B: 

We have finished Singapore 1A this week and moved to 1B. So far so good. He mastered Place Value like a champ. He finished 17 exercises at his 1B level. and currently working on mentally calculating  1 less vs 10 less,  1 more vs 10 more. 

Singapore (practice) Math 1A: COMPLETED!  
He finished 1A for practice also this week. He did 2 challenging tasks at the end as well. So next week he will jumo into 1B next week.
 
Kumon Subtraction 1st grade -COMPLETED!
Kumon Addition 1st grade I think 2 pages left for it.

Here is Landon figuring out math problem where he had 1 through 5 numbers. He had to arrange them so 3 in a row will be equal 10 (both ways)
















RUSSIAN
Landon has been reading Russian sentences and translating into Eng. And another way around. He got some words down pretty good. Through struggles with Russian "Where?" word a bit.

SPELLING 
All About Spelling Level 1. COMPLETED!


 WRITING SKILLS
I don't think we did any writing skills (aka grammar) this week. We did review material though.


READING:
READING A-Z
Level G - 2 books this week.

P.E
No Tikewando this week but he got a Ribbon at his Gymnastics practice for High Bar event.

    I like the feeling of a complete task! the timing was a bit strange because we didnt start all of that at the same time. lol

    We started the "Other" singapore in October,
    Singapore Primary math - 3 weeks ago.
    All About Spelling - late December.
    Kumon books - October.

    its funny he finished them all this week :)

  4. Karin, it works WONDERFUL! I am also including visual manipulative at this point since we are learning tens and ones. So far its awesome.
